Aphrodisiac Foods

The FDA not just dispels a belief but also in fact warns consumers against natural aphrodisiacs, maintaining that no over-the-counter product works to treat problems with sexual function. Of course, the FDA is trying to protect consumers from products like the manufactured packets labeled "Spanish Fly," sold at the checkout counters of seedy convenience stores in Chatsworth, California (heart of the American porn industry).

"Aphrodisiac" The word is that which has great appeal for millions of people in the world today as it has for many years dating back to the ancient Greeks. Aphrodisiac foods are highly sought after and here we explain what constitutes a food that is an aphrodisiac and also give seven examples tested aphrodisiac foods you can get your hands!

Among the more natural and common foods purported by those believers in the properties within aphrodisiac foods, include such consumables as carrot, chocolate, banana, eggs, fennel, ginkgo biloba, garlic, ginseng, honey, kelp, maca, oat, onion, oysters, peach, pepper, shilajit, Spanish fly and walnut oil. People from different places believe in specific special foods and preparations which have erotic effects and increase potency. There are abundant of foods that excite libido. Meat is generally believed to be stimulating. Eggs are supposed to increase the production of spermatozoa. Fish is also regarded as stimulating.

Some food commodities contain more nutrients than others. Mango has more Vitamin E, yellow vegetables have more Vitamin A. The differences can make some more effective than others. But in general all natural food commodities are aphrodisiacs

Whether or not there is scientific evidence to support the many claims to aphrodisiac foods, believers are there. And aphrodisiac foods run the gamut beyond chocolate. Honey, saffron, asparagus, avocados, basil, grapes, strawberries are on many a person's short list. It's hard to believe that anyone would claim garlic or onions to be aphrodisiac foods, but they do make it on the occasional list.
